Overcoming Challenges

TAKING PRECAUTIONS WITH EVERY STEP

The final characteristics and shape of a part are determined not only by the part design, but also by the mold design and the injection process. These must all be executed flawlessly in order to create a high quality product.

When designing a part, we carefully make decisions regarding the mold concept, parting lines locations, ejection systems, slides and lifters, gate location, and type of steel. If a part requires an additional process such as IML, we work with the relevant engineers to optimize the process.

USING CARE WITH FLOW SIMULATION

We have 24 years of experience working with Moldflow and other software.

Although Moldflow is a powerful tool, one must be very careful when using it. Unexperienced users my find themselves with a GIGO situation.

Here is an example of simulation where the optimization of gate location is performed.

FINDING WAYS TO REDUCE PRODUCTION TIME AND EXPENSE

This product is a good example of utilizing part and mold design to create one part consisting of three drawers, whereas a product like this is usually assembled from three parts. Since the production cycles are reduced and less labor is required, the final product is cheaper, better, and faster to produce.

THE PRODUCT IS THE KING!

These baskets, like the plastic box, feature a unique design that resembles leather stiches.

The client's primary requirement was that the product did not have any parting lines, so no slides could be allowed in the cavity side.

The part was successfully produced without any lines, as per client requirements.
